New Odyssey

Circe sang,
and swayed ahead,
down the garden path,
on to the sea shore.
Mesmerized,
Glassy-eyed,
Odysseus followed,
like a lamb.
Wanton lust
in his mind,
Hedonistic feelings
filled his heart,
ready to sell,
his soul for love.
Then she turned,
and ate him,
for dinner.
